LIFT is a boutique full-service 360° advertising agency specializing in creating revenue programs and marketing strategies for sports, entertainment, museums and attraction clients. At LIFT, we help launch multiple new businesses from concept to execution including Broadway productions, touring exhibitions, attractions, festivals, sports and music engagements, and more. 


LIFT is looking for a detail-oriented individual with the ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced business environment to fill our Summer 2019 Media Marketing Intern opening. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a history of being self-motived, have a proven track record of being able adapt quickly and multitask in a professional environment. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to monitoring and identifying promotional opportunities, analyzing and organizing raw data, grassroots outreach and assisting colleagues with various projects/accounts.

This internship is unpaid and all applicants must have the ability to obtain school credit in exchange for this learning opportunity. Interviews will begin in Early April 2019.  Must apply by March 30th to be considered.  Offer will be extended by early May 2019.

Learning Objectives

The Intern will:

  • Learn the various platforms involved in integrated media marketing
  • Become familiar with all aspects of media advertising from the research phase through to campaign close-out
  • Develop an understanding of how presentations are set up and delivered to clients
  • Learn how campaigns are deployed on social, search, display, radio, OOH, and other platforms
  • Gain exposure to a variety of digital reporting tools
  • Learn advanced media & integrated marketing vocabulary
  • Gain experience in settlement composition
  • Learn to analyze data, thinking creatively and dreaming up ideas to make sure marketing campaigns reach the right target audience in the most effective way possible
  • Collect and analyze information about different media channels, such as digital, newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and outdoor media, such as posters and digital billboards, with regards to consumer behavior, circulation, audience trends and the impact of different methods
  • Develop an understanding of identifying client wants, needs and objectives and then make decisions about what media channels should be used for specific campaigns

Qualifications (required)

  • 4 year college degree or pursuit of
  • Willingness to intern 20-30 hours/wk during normal business hours, 9A-5P
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advertising principles, strategies and techniques
  • Desire to learn and the ability to quickly translate the learnings into practice and results
  • Demonstrated success in marketing communications both verbal and written
  • A history being self-motivated and have strong, logical problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at the same time

Working Conditions & Physical Efforts

  • Work is performed in an interior/office work environment
  • May be required to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to sit for a prolonged period of time
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with colleagues, vendors & customers
  • Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or operate equipment
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk
